My idea is to invent/develop living materials that have high strength properties, are non-perishable that can be produced/reproduced sustainably for the use as structural components of structures.

The current primary structural materials (concrete and steel) are non-renewable and deteriorate/perish over time. Living materials would have increased strength and efficiency, would have the ability to respond to changes in their environment, provides the possibility to modify/enhance the cell structure and geometry, and enables future technologies (fusing of precast elements to accomplish efficient construction of monolithic structures or onsite 3D printing of entire structures).
