When holidaying in Keramas, Indonesia, I noticed a major rubbish problem that I wanted to solve. I undertook the design & install of a rubbish collection device with a floating boom that rises with tide and stormwater inflow. Including 40mm square holes for fish passage at the top of the net.

The device was donated in kind & built using a local Indonesian construction company. We sent a colleague to assist with construction & upskilling of the local team. The other intent was to bring awareness to the local community, & persuade other resort operators to do similar projects in Bali. I’m about to roll out a second device in kind to the province of Canngu.
